1993 Atalier

My name is Juan Carlos Manimbo, I go by JC. I started my fascination with hair when I was a kid. Growing up in the late 90s and early 2000s, I admired all the different hairstyles I saw from all forms of media that was available to me. Fast forward to 2017-2018 when I decided to start learning all about hair and my hair journey at Riverside City College (RCC).

I then started to work at a chain salon/ barbershop to gain confidence with my skills, after quite some time I moved on to work at my first booth rent job at a barbershop in old town Murrieta. After working in Murrieta for a year I decided it was time for me to move on to Orange County California to further grow my craft.

In Whittier I opened my first barbershop, together with a business partner. After a year and a half of growing and honing my craft, I decided it was time for me to open my own space.

1993 Atalier was born, an intimate space dedicated to my love of barbering and all things I’m passionate about.
